We are a leading construction staffing company, currently seeking a dedicated Payroll Assistant to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth processing of weekly payrolls for over 200 employees. Key Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly payroll and enter data into our computer system.
  • Assist the Payroll Manager in collecting and organizing timesheets.
  • Contact employees and clients as needed to clarify payroll details.
  • Track and explain employee benefits.
  • Provide payroll information by addressing employee and client inquiries.
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect payroll operations.
  • Support the Accounting Department by retrieving documents and reports for client audits.
  • Organize and scan documents.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum one year of payroll processing experience, including timecards and transmittal to vendors.
  • Software Proficiency: Must be computer literate and proficient with Excel and MS Office. Experience with COATS Software is a plus.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong data entry skills with the ability to juggle and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills for interacting with employees and clients.
  • Additional Knowledge: Familiarity with Child Support Laws and Deductions is highly valued. Experience with large payrolls in staffing or union-related companies is a major plus.

Schedule:

  • Part-Time or Full-Time: Monday to Wednesday availability is required.
